Hello Lovely’s,
I am Happy to say that I have found a product to replace my ever changing face moisturizer. I have been switching moisturizers for a long time, especially with the changing weather. Well a few weeks ago I was shopping at Albertson’s and saw the Albertsons brand “equaline” and they make a product of glycerin and rosewater. OMG, I love this stuff! It moisturizes my skin without making me look crazy shiny and smells so nice “roses”. So, if you have an Albertsons you gotta check this product out. It does have fragrance, so if you are against fragrance don’t buy this product.
The ingredients for this product are: water, glycerin, methylparaben(anti-microbal and anti-irritant) and fragrance.
Like many others, I have also used the recipe provided by Koren on youTube. It is 1 part glycerin and 3 parts water. His suggestion works great as a moisturizer or as a mixing medium. I am considering making my own moisturizer using glycerin and natural rosewater. I find that the more glycerin used…the more moisturizing the product is. So, It can easily be tweaked by adding or decreasing the glycerin amount. My skin says, more glycerin during winter and less during summer. If you can’t find this product locally, try making your own. Just keep in mind that without preservatives it will expire faster… so make a smaller amount.
The one Con to this product is the lack of sunscreen. I have been using the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry - Touch Sunblock 55 with it and it works just fine. So, if you struggle with finding the right moisturizer, give this a shot. It may work for you too. ![]()

Wow, what a great find. Do you remember how much this was? I buy this mist for my face that has hyaluronic acid and glycerin in it — it’s okay, but in the Winter I need a LOT more moisture, especially after having products with retinol in it, I’m dry, flaky, and peeling
Hi Thi,
It is a nice size bottle and one or two spritz does the trick for me.
It’s regulary priced at $4 and some change. I got mine just under $3, since it was on sale.
this sounds interesting.
I always use Cetaphil because it has no fragerance and is great for sensitive skin like mine.
I’m really sad to see that Albertson’s has stopped carrying this product, at the least the one near me in Oakland has. My mom can get it for me in Arizona at an Albertsons there but the one here has removed it completely. This is an amazing substitute for the moisturizers that cost four times as much and have a bunch of other crap in them. I really hope I can find some place that sells this or maybe, I could start selling it myself. Oh well. Glad you had a similar experience with it. It’s good to know there are other people out there that have come to the same conclusion that you did.
Hi, Albertson’s has discontinued this product. Do you know where else to
purchase? I love it and have been using it for years, almost out of my last bottle and have been searching for a place to purchase. I have used other
reosewater and glycerin products that do not work as well. look forward to
your reply. Have a great day.
Hi,
I have been using this product for years and they have recently discontued
it. Do you know where to purchase? I’m almost out of my last bottle and desparate! Thanks and have a great day.
Hi Jane,
Had I known I would have stocked up on it. As of right now I do not know where to find this product. As far as I know it is an Albertson’s only product and is probably not carried anywhere else. I will keep you posted if I find anything new on it. You can always try mixing glycerin with rose water at home and see if you can get the same consistency as equaline. Keep in mind it will expire faster than one from the store.
I went to Albertson’s this morning and yep it is gone.
