Hi Kay, I tried using the olive oil on my legs today, but the wax would not stick to the hairs and pulled only like 3 hairs out. My skin did feel much nicer with the olive oil and the wax spread easier, but it just wont stick to the hairs.

Oh, I would advise you AGAINST baby powder. From personal experience, all it did was rip my skin off so I could have done something wrong if this seems to work for others. Yet, I found that the olive oil works for me as it protects my skin and somehow still allows the wax to grab onto the hair. Best of luck and hope you find what works for you. :)

Hi Kay,
Thanks for the tips. I'll try using some oil before waxing the areas. I heard some people use baby powder, but I am not sure how that would work.

Hello, I also wax my arm hair and the kind I use is Sally Hansen All Over Body Wax Hair Remover Kit. It includes the strips, the wooden stick, and the after wax oil. What I find works for me is that it DOES have to be HOT and liquidy but not to where I burn myself. I do find that thin layer removes my hair better but that's because before I apply the wax, I ALWAYS protect my skin to prevent it from peeling and getting burn marks. What I do is I lather my arms with a little bit of cooking Olive Oil, and this still allows the wax to grab on and when I peel which is why it has to be hot. I find this helps because it does not burn my skin off. Also, when I apply the strips onto the wax I make sure to rub on top of the strip to allow the hair to grab on well. Hope this helps.

Hi Qingzi,
I have never tried an epilator, maybe I'll give one a shot. I just lean towards waxing, since I normally get waxed by professionals and that's what I'm used too. I know pursebuzz recently mentioned one she liked.

Never wax. Sounds painful. I am thinking to get a epilator.
