Yesterday, I decided to get crafty and bust out a label maker I purchased at Walmart for $19.99. So, I depotted some eye shadows I had sitting in the drawer and went to MAC for some palettes. The label maker is pretty neat and easy to use. I only wish I could have cut the tape…even. I placed the new labels beside the eye shadows instead of on the lid and ended up having to make small labels for the ones on the edge. Originally, I had two different kinds of labels. From a perfectly printed one I saw on youtube and stickers from MAC boxes. Using two kinds of labels was pretty unorganized and inconvenient. Mainly, because I would get bored of how they looked and wanted to rearrange the eye shadows. So, reprinting labels every time I added a new eyeshadow and rearranged the palette was no fun. Nor is pulling labels off the lid, when they have become one with the lid. :( (Oh out of subject here) Through my palette labeling quest I decided to try and remove eye shadows from a pre-made MAC 4 quad palette and the eye shadows started to shatter. So don’t try that, unless you have an excellent removal method. *Maybe I was just being a makeup clutz*;s So, here are some pics of what I spent my time doing last night. I really just like being able to label the outside of the palettes with cute symbols and rearrange eye shadows when I want…with less hassle
Hearts, Smileys and Flowers
As you can see I already labeled a missing e/s Top Hat. I forgot to pick it up yesterday
Now I have another reason to visit MAC.
Now I have to do more shopping since I have room for e/s. I did not coordinate by colors before, but placed them all in one palette as I bought them. Granted I usually bought premade palettes instead of single e/s I have to depot and NYX eye shadows. Now I am a lot more palette happy.
So, that’s a look at what I did last night. How do you label your palettes?
