Hey guys! Not much going on for me today; just chillin’ at home. So, I decided to post an eye look using the Coastal Scents palette. I literally just did one eye, so you’ll notice the areas around the eye are make up less. I like to come up with looks and then actually wear them out when I need too. Using face charts is always pretty cool to do as well.
Here is what I came up with:
What I used:
MAC Perky pp all over lids
E/s labeled 1 as highlight (its a frosty whitish color)
E/s labeled 2 on the rest of the area (peach color)
E/s labeled 2 as under lash line base
E/s labeled 3 on crease (a brown, but not too dark)
E/s labeled 4 on top of the crease to darken it a little (black color)
E/s labeled 4 as top and bottom eye liner. I gave the top line a little flick.
E/s labeled 5 to fill in brows (a reddish brown)
E/s labeled 4 to darken the brown color (just used a small amount)
Avon uplifting mascara in black (first time trying this mascara)

Wow, your EOTD is so sultry! What type of camera do you use?
Hi Anjela, I use the Canon PowerShot SD600 Digital Elph. Got it a couple years ago.
You have a Canon Powershot too? I’m still trying to figure out how to take closeup eye pics!
What settings do you use?
Hi Anjela, I usually have it on auto. For close ups I always have macro on and also use zoom to zoom in some more if I have too. It helps to have good lighting in the room as well. My apt. don’t have great lighting.
Ah, I see…I struggle with lighting too, lol! I’ve been playing with the different settings on my Powershot and just today I found (I think!) the perfect settings for me! It’ll be the first EOTD I’ve done with my camera. Another question: did you use brushes from Coastal Scents too for this look?
Hi Anjela, No I did not use Coastal scent (CS) brushes. I don’t really have eye brushes from CS; maybe one. I used the MAC 239 and 217. I also used the Loew Cornell 1/4 for eye lining. Can’t wait to see your EOTD.
I posted it tonight….I’ll have to check out those MAC brushes you mentioned
I used the ecoTOOLS eyeshadow brush to blend my eyeshadows. Because it’s really soft, it was kind of hard for me to blend. I’ve never heard of Loew Cornell brushes before. Are those good quality?
Hi Angela, Loew Cornell are actually paint brushes of very good quality. Some can be used as makeup brushes. If you look up Enkore makeup on youtube, he has excellent reviews on this brushes. He also shows you what brushes to buy in place of MAC brushes if you want to save money.
Thank you Naomi!!
My budget right now isn’t of MAC quality….! :p
