Hi Ashley, Olive oil will help nourish and condition your eye lashes, but I am not sure that it will strengthen them. The best way to find it is to try it. Also our eye lashes just like pretty much all hair in our body "shed". If nothing seems to be working I wonder if there is a Doctor you can see about this. Could you have a vitamin deficiency? Try taking biotin or prenatal vitamins. Biotin helps strengthen hair and nails and prenatal vitamins are full of good things the body needs. I started taking Biotin when my head hair started to shed more than usual and it has really helped me. Sometimes I wonder if it was mental...well my bathroom drain says it wasn't mental. LOL!

Hello~ Thanks for this tip, I'm gonna try it out!

Though, I'm wondering if this will help my problem.
My eyelashes, I'm guessing, are pretty fragile.
I barely use make up, and almost never use mascara or a curler.

But I noticed that my eyelashes keep falling off.
I think it's because I keep rubbing my eyes due to allergies. Do you think the olive oil would help strengthen my lashes?

Hi Vanessa,
I think I was lucky to even get some of my eyelashes to grow back to the same length after they broke off. I can still see some that did not grow all the way on me. I have not tried any product to make the eyelashes grow, but I know pursebuzz.com had mentioned an eyelash product that made hers grow. I could not find the direct post in order to link you to it, but I will try and find it.

Update: Hi Vanessa, pursebuzz as nice as she always is gave me the name to the product. It is called Mavala! Here is a link to that post pursebuzzmavala Hope this helps. Pursebuzz has never stirred me in the wrong direction and I trust her reviews.

Hi Cheryl, my eyelashes don't go inward but can get twisted. I am not the right person to give you advice for the eyelashes facing the wrong way, but I will tell you what I would probably do. If I was in your shoes I would:

1) dab a q-tip in some olive oil to soften the eyelashes and comb them with a brush gently in the opposite direction. (Maybe) this can help train the lashes to go the other way...but if it is the lashes natural growth it will probably require some work.

(An eyelash primer can be a good alternative to the olive oil since it will condition the eyelashes)

2) After you have softened your eyelashes apply your mascara in the direction you want the eyelashes to go. Maybe you can follow behind the eyelashes with a eyelash comb and with the mascara wand through the front and then let them dry that way. A fast drying mascara would probably benefit you best.

3) Have you tried using a heated eyelash curler? I have seen a few online, but have never tried one. Heat is good at manipulating hair. Just a thought.

Note: I have a bad habit...where anytime I get a twisted lash I separate them with a needle. I must say it works well, but you have to be real careful. I do this after the mascara is applied and the eyelashes are sticky. That way they stay in place.

Hope this helps.

How do you fix twisted eyelashes that are growing toward toward left instead of the right. Have tried an eyelash crimp, but that only resulted in loss of a few lashes. Have not had conjunctivitis or any other eye irritation to cause warped eyelashes.
